According to the biblical account of creation, God created all wild animals, livestock, and creatures that move along the ground on the sixth day of creation. This is also the day that God created Adam and from genetic material taken from his (Adam’s) side, formed Eve. (Genesis 1:24-31; 2:21-22) Quite often the question arises, "Could the sixth day of creation be longer than what we call a day? Could this time period be thousands, or even millions, of years?" The Biblical expression, "So the evening and the morning were the sixth day." would suggest that a day was a short period of time. Remember, Adam and Eve lived through the period of time referred to as the sixth day (they saw the seventh day: Genesis 2:2-3). In fact, they would have lived past the seventh day for surely God would not have cursed the ground, and driven Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden (due to their sin), on the seventh day (the day God blessed and made holy). This happened after the seventh day. The answer to the question, "When were dinosaurs created?" is that both dinosaurs that walked upon the earth, and mankind, were created on the same day by God (the sixth day of creation). Sea creatures were created on the fifth day. |
