There are examples, from Scripture, whereby those who had died recognized, and were recognized, by others who had also died. (Luke16:23)

Due to the fact that we will come to complete maturity and knowledge in heaven (1 Corinthians 13:12), it's believed that, not only will we recognize those whom we had known while alive on earth, but, also, those whom we had not known.
