Sadly, the Bible does not support the belief that animals live beyond death; they do not possess immortality as humans do. If they did, surely God would not have given them to mankind as food (Genesis 9:1-3), nor would He have given them to mankind for sacrifice on the altar (Leviticus 1).

The difference between a human being and an animal is that the animal consist of a body and soul, whereas, the human being consist of a body, soul, and spirit. It is the spirit of human beings that give us God consciousness and immortality (the body gives us life, and the soul gives us world consciousness).
