The Bible doesn't say that gambling is a sin. Before one chooses to walk down this path in life, however, they should ask themselves the question "Although it is permissible, is it beneficial? Although it is permissible is it constructive?"

Many have been caught up in gambling who couldn't afford to lose the money and because of this, they, along with their families, have suffered. Gambling has a way of appealing to the greed within our sinful nature and a way of leading us down a path to destruction.

Gambling is, also, contrary to the biblical principle of hard work as the way of supplying for our needs as well as the needs of our family.
