The first thing you need to understand as you search for the true meaning of life is that God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you.

Jesus said, "Here I am! I stand at the door (to your heart) and knock.  If anyone opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (have a personal relationship with them) and he (or she) with Me."

It's God's desire that you have abundant life here and now; and when this life is over, eternal life with Him forever.  The abundant life Jesus is speaking of is life to the fullest.
