Due to the disobedience of our first parents Adam and Eve, all of us are born in sin; we inherit our sinful nature from them. 2 Just as they chose their desires above God's, we too are guilty of the same thing. Consequently, we experience physical death here and now, and if our problem of separation is not corrected, it will be carried over into the next life in the form of separation from God for all eternity in the lake of fire (a place of eternal torment). 3
There's hope, however, for the Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." 4
