From My Heart To Your Heart

As we go through life, trusting in God's goodness and love for us, we learn quickly that our walk with God is a walk of faith.  So what is faith?  According to the Bible, faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)  When we hope for something, we are saying that there is still the possibility that that which we hope for will not materialize.  Faith, however, goes beyond hope and says that that which we hope for, is a done deal; it's so.

When we truly have faith, we will act accordingly.  We will have peace in our heart, call things which have not materialized in the physical realm as though they had (Romans 4:17), and live by faith - not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Have you ever asked God for something, He has said that it is yours (in fact, the Bible even says that it is yours), you are thanking Him because you know that it is (past tense), but you just don't see it in the physical realm?  Why not ask God to make it to where you can see it also, and see what happens?  Is it possible that it is by faith we reach out to God and receive that which He says is so?  Faith is pleasing to Him (Hebrews 11:6).  Faith is the bridge between God's promises and spiritual blessings, and our receiving of them.

God bless you; each and every one of you.

Sincerely,

Jim Futral
