As we make decisions as to what path to take in life, we need to understand that God's not trying to withhold any good thing from us. He wants us to be all that we can be. He wants us to have an "abundant" and fruitful life; an enjoyable life. He, also, wants to help us achieve this; not keep us from achieving it.
Life can be tricky. Our decisions can lead down a path of happiness and contentment, or a path of heartache. We, can only see the here and now. God, however, knows so much more.
