When we spend time with God in prayer, what we're saying to Him is that I know You care for me and I'm willing to allow You to lead and direct my life (I have faith in You.) When we don't take our concerns before our Heavenly Father, what we're saying to Him is that I don't believe You really hear and answer prayer (I believe I'll just trust in my own strength to see me through.) This is not pleasing to God.1
